Dune: House Atreides is a twelve-issue comic book series published by BOOM! Studios. It is the official prequel to The New York Times Bestselling series from Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson that were never previously adapted for comic books. I worked on creating the new Dune logo for this series, as well as design for both single and collected editions.

logo explorations
The system was built around a custom logo treatment incorporating silhouettes of Arrakis and its moons, with directional serif details inspired by the windswept landscape of the desert planet. I explored a range of approaches, from clean, futuristic typography to a more illustrative House Atreides-inspired banner, before developing the final direction. Beyond the logo, I established recurring graphic elements, typography, framing, and cover structures that could be adapted across the series while allowing each edition to feel distinct.
For Dune, I developed a visual identity and flexible design system intended to carry the series across multiple titles, formats, and editions while maintaining a recognizable brand. The goal was to balance the property’snbold visual language with a distinct identity for the comic series—one that could evolve across Dune, Dune: House Atreides, Dune: House Harkonnen, and Dune: House Corrino, as well as deluxe and Kickstarter editions.
